Collection: Maranao Collection

This collection features the textiles and crafts of the Maranaos, a Muslim ethnolinguistic tribe mostly residing in the area around Lake Lanao in Lanao del Sur, Mindanao island. They are also known as the "People of the Lake" and are known for their distinct architectural designs and elaborate cultural heritage including weaving, woodworking, brassware and metalcraft.
