SHIPPING & PAYMENT
What are your shipping/delivery options?
We use app delivery services or major courier companies for domestic orders. Fees are included in the total amount to be paid upon checkout.
Do you ship worldwide?
Yes via Fedex, but only limited destinations are available at the website at the moment - USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, and selected countries in Europe, but we are continuously working on expanding our coverage.
If you're ordering from a destination that is not yet covered, please send us a message via the Contact Us page, Instagram/Facebook (@MalingkatWeaves) or send us an email at shopmalingkat@gmail.com to get a shipping quote.
How much does it cost to ship outside the Philippines?
Shipping fees are based on total basket weight - 0.5, 1, 1.5, and 2.5 kg. Rates also vary depending on the country destination. Here's a range of the international shipping fees in PHP and with USD estimate:
- USA and Canada - Php1,750.00-2,850.00 (approx. $35-58)
- Australia and New Zealand - Php1,470.00-2,450.00 (approx. $31-51)
- Singapore - Php850.00-1,450.00 (approx. $17-29)
- Europe - Php2,150.00-3,850.00 (approx. $43-79)
There might also be an additional remote/out of area delivery fee charged by the courier for some addresses which is not included in the shipping fee computed upon checkout. If this is applicable to your order, we will send you a message immediately.
Customs duties, import taxes, and/or additional handling fees, if any, are not included in the payment and c/o the buyer. Customs policies also vary per country.
Are prices available in other currencies?
For easy reference, you have the option to display the prices in selected currencies (USD, Euro, AUD, CAD, and SGD) by choosing from the drop down list on the top right area of the header, but the order will still be processed in our store currency of PHP.
What are your modes of payments?
We accept payments via online transfer or direct deposit to the following banks - Union Bank, BDO, mobile wallets Paymaya and GCash, and Paypal. We don’t have cash on delivery (COD) at the moment but we’re working on it.
Can I reserve items?
Items will be reserved for 48 hours only. Kindly settle payment within this time.
How long will it take for my order to arrive?
Orders will be sent out within three (3) days after payment confirmation except for pre-ordered pieces. Estimated shipping lead time for within Metro Manila is 2-3 days, 5-7 days for provincial addresses, and 5-10 days for outside the Philippines. If you need your order immediately, please leave a note upon ordering or send us a message via email or our social media pages after.

Can you personalize my order to give as a gift?
If you're ordering to give as a gift, please leave a note on the space provided before checkout. Most of our items come in individual pouches/dust bags and we can add some ribbons and a gift tag with your message.
FABRICS AND PARTNERS
Where do you get your fabrics?
We partner directly with individuals, families and/or cooperatives from different tribes and weaving communities, mostly from Mindanao. Currently, we work with Yakan weavers from Basilan and Zamboanga, a cooperative of T'boli artisans in Lake Sebu, a group of Tausug weavers from Parang, Sulu, Maranao weavers from Marawi City and Lanao del Sur, and a family in Abra, Northern Luzon.
Do you restock sold out pieces?
We may weave popular patterns and colors again, but the color and design aren’t always exactly the same as the previous one owing to the handmade nature of our products.
Do the items look the same as in the photos?
We strive to provide photos that are as close as possible to the actual product. However, actual color may vary slightly due to differences in screen/camera settings or resolution. There might also be minor inconsistencies or flaws on the fabric owing to its handmade nature, adding to its authenticity.
Do you sell raw/unfinished textiles?
Yes, we do but they're not yet available here. Please send us a message over on Instagram/Facebook and we'll be happy to chat with you. Some of the fabrics have restrictions in terms of usage, i.e not to be used for footwear, masks, pet collars and we want to make sure the weaves will be used properly.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Are these washable?
Except for the t’nalak which is made of abaca, all our pieces are washable. We suggest gentle hand washing or soaking in mild detergent to make your handwoven piece last. If machine wash is more convenient, use a mesh bag on delicate setting. Do not use bleach on any item and hang to dry away from direct sunlight. Each item also comes with a product card with care instructions.
RETURN & EXCHANGE
Do you accept return and/or exchange?
If you receive a wrong or defective order, we will issue a refund for the price of the item and the cost of sending it back to us using the original mode of payment made. Or you may choose to do an exchange and we will send a new item once we receive the return. The cost for returning the original item will be converted to store credit.
