The baor (storage chest/trunk) is one of the unique and distinct cultural products of the Meranaw people. It is made using premium hardwood and adorned with intricate handcarved okir designs and mother-of-pearl inlay. The baor is a testament to the excellent craftsmanship and stunning artistry of the Meranaws.
Tugaya is the center of traditional Meranaw arts and crafts and home to many artisan families.
